These paintings are included in an exhibit titled "Common Ground" with Omaha sculptor Travis Apel at the Norfolk Arts Center in Norfolk, Ne. from November 8 - December 29th, 2012.
This collection of paintings celebrates the magnificence of the ordinary. It is the every day-ness of our surroundings that we often overlook, yet long for when things get complex. The quiet nobility of our familiar landscape and our attachment to it is the universal connection, or common ground, celebrated in this exhibit.
